Enrolment Process

The main entry points to Tangara are at Kindergarten, Year 2 and Year 7. Some places are available in other years.

Students enrolling in Kindergarten should have turned 5 by 31 May of the year they commence school. In exceptional circumstances, enrolments may be considered of children who turn 5 up until 31 July of the year they commence Kindergarten.  In these circumstances, to decide when the child should commence school, she or he  will be assessed for school readiness a few months prior to the beginning of the school year.

Students enrolling in Reception should have turned 4 by 31 May of the year before they commence Kindergarten. In exceptional circumstances, enrolments may be considered of children who turn 4 up until 31 July of the year before they commence Kindergarten.  In these circumstances, to decide whether the child may be enrolled in Reception, she or he will be assessed for readiness a few months prior to the beginning of the school year.

The enrolment procedure is as follows:

1.Parents attend an Open Day or a tour of the School where they will be provided with a Prospectus.

2.Parents complete and submit the Application for Enrolment Form, together with a copy of the child’s Birth Certificate and the application fee of $200.00.

3.Interviews:
  • Parents are interviewed by a member of the School Executive. A copy of the child’s most recent report and any other relevant assessments should be provided to the School at the time of the first interview.
4.Financial interview with the School Bursar

Following this procedure, a decision is made to offer a place. Prior consideration is given to siblings of current PARED families. The Letter of Offer is received in duplicate.
