Tangara’s 21st century library is the vibrant hub of learning in our School. The purpose-built facility includes research areas, a computer laboratory, private seminar rooms and study spaces for individuals and small groups. Information literacy and love for reading are essential for an understanding of the human experience and the acquisition of lifelong learning skills. This opens the door to the search for truth, to critical thinking, and to a life of responsible citizenship.
Our R-6 students have access to a first-rate print collection and carefully chosen digital resources in an engaging, stimulating space. Our Infants campuses at Wahroonga and Belfield have their own library collections and access to resources at the main library.
Secondary students have their own space for research, learning and interactivity, and access to excellent print and digital resources which support the curriculum, foster personal interests and inspire love for quality literature.
Tangara Staff have access to an excellent professional collection. Parents also have their own collection of parenting resources, and literature on spirituality and personal development. Teacher-librarians work collaboratively with teachers and students to integrate information literacy skills and learning technologies with the curriculum.
