Educating Towards the Fullness of Virtue
Our School Song was composed by Genevieve McCaughan, a Tangara parent on the occasion of
Tangara's 20th anniversary. Its words effectively reflect the spirit of the School.
| AD SUMMAM VIRTUTEM 1. A eucalypt towers in the darkness, Southern Cross lights the night hue Soil, rich with red earth for seedlings seeking the One, Good and True. (Chorus) Robust and strong, hearts filled with song, carry to all in the land Tangara ad summam virtutem in Faith, Hope, and Love we stand. 2. Siena,Tintagel, La Mancha, Fabled Atlantis of old hold all humanity's yearning for noble and great deeds of soul. (Chorus) 3. Guiding our path for life's journey home and the school work as one, forging our characters boldly for the odyssey each has begun. (Chorus) 4. Wisdom, the quest of our learning study, our pathway to Truth, our night oil of diligence burning, flamed by the ardour of youth. (Chorus x 2) |
